Fashionable Films - 16 Candles

Now, I'm not going to go ALL OUT crazy over Samantha Baker's (Molly Ringwald) wardrobe, the outfits that always stood out to me where Duckie's! He was SUCH. A. BADASS. The Otis Redding impersonation is seriously the way I get when I'm listening to music! The vests. The scrunchie socks. The hat. The glasses. So great. I couldnt get enough of him in this film.

I hate to admit it, but I've never seen this movie.... I really need to. I've heard it's really good.

Serious LOVE for this flick and any John Hughes movie! I like to play movie quotes with my friends and I was astounded no one could guess the liners from this movie! Duckies Otis Redding lip sync moment is the best!! I always have to rewind it when I'm watching the movie.

Also, side note, did you know that originally John Hughes had Sam ending up with Duckie? Apparently the test audience didn't like it so he re-wrote the ending.

I just saw this movie for the first time a few months ago. I know. I suck. I love Duckie, by the way. He's adorable. I just want to squeeze him.

I'm completely smitten with Pretty in Pink - or really anything Molly Ringwald is in for that matter - 16 Candles and The Breakfast Club too ;) Duckie is a complete doll - how could I resist a guy in a dapper hat and round sunnies like that? xo Marisa
